Zinke is All Grown Up

My FAVORITE of the season… the gorgeous Andi Romper

New Fall pieces from Zinke have just arrived and I am OBSESSED. Let’s start with the colors. The first word that must be used is rich. After the last few months of bright, neon, candy colors, Fall will bring a more sophisticated color palette.  I truly believe that Zinke nails color better than anyone else in lingerie and this Fall the sisters Zinke did it again. Two colors that our friends at Zinke concentrated on are deep navy and a more adult update on Spice called Henna.

This color is to die for…

The Brooks Romper is definitely an update to the XOXO Romper from Spring – same style, new colors. The Henna is pretty much to die for. The girls here freaked out because it is just such a new looking red/brown that would be appealing on so many skin colors.

We’re in the Navy…

The gorgeous Harper Bralet and Brief are perfection. Lace and satin meet for one thoroughly beautiful take on modern lingerie. I love the way this brief sits on the tush. It is definitely made to show off the bottom. And for me, knowing I have great knickers on makes even the worst days a little better.

So lush, so pretty — The color, the lace, the satin. This is decadent.

The best part of these bottoms is how they will make your bottom look. Just walk away…

Finally, the new update on a favorite from Fall 2011 is the INCREDIBLY STUNNING Andi Lace Romper. Last season, Zinke did this in a beautiful orange red but this season done in this deep navy, the piece becomes beyond grown up. I really think that this is the best piece of the season. It a show stopper and perfect for Boudoir shoots, honeymoons, or if you’re like me – throwing on a cardi or a pair of cool bottoms for a perfect lounge to bedroom look.

Designer Spotlight: Undrest

Great bralet and matching knickers

So I’m always pretty psyched when a brand that we sell has some values behind their business. In this world of mass produced crap, it’s a good thing when a clothing designer takes the time to say, “Whoa there partner! Let’s make cool design but in an ethical way!”

Who doesn’t need a little cotton bandeau this summer?? Pretty much everyone does!

Whether it’s Toggery’s commitment to organic cotton or the decision of Fortnight and Brulee to be made in Canada and NYC respectively, there is a conscious effort with many up and coming designers to make pieces that make sense to the world at large. I for one really admire these guys!

A pair of neon knickers?? Yes, please. These cute little bottoms also come in pink!

Which brings us to the LA based brand Undrest. In their tagline, they refer to themselves as “ethically produced fashion.” Artisanally crafted in the USA – more specifically in California – this brand has clearly decided to put their values first when creating gorgeous lounge, sleep and lingerie.  This is why the pieces are more expensive… luxury, in this case, is in the cost of producing the fabric and the garments in the US.

Nice backside…

The initial reason, however, that I fell for Undrest was due to the great design and gorgeous colors. Everyone knows that neons and bright colors have been popular this spring and Undrest doesn’t disappoint with highlighter green triangle bras or salmon colored knickers. The feminine details – like ruffles or strategically placed bows– really set a pretty tone for each piece.

As for the best piece? It has to be the chemise! Anyone I know who has put the cotton nightie on has been in LOVE. It is so comfortable but so, so pretty. Personally, it makes me feel bedtime glam and it’s a piece that definitely catches the attention of my hubby in a simple, cool way – nothing overt, just lovely.

Who doesn’t need a little cotton nightie for the sweetest possible dreams?

Best. Nightie. Ever.
