Nothing beats heading to the beach for a weekend – or if you’re lucky enough a week – away with friends and family. It sounds totally lame, but after packing up babyM, I’m often left uninspired by what needs to go into my bag. Especially when heading to a beach or lake house, I totally want to appear effortlessly chic but even that takes a little planning! It’s effortless when I actually get to my destination, which is kind of priceless.

1.) Great Romper – Okay, I am really obsessed with rompers right now. They are so cute and comfy. I find myself putting one on Friday night and pretty much not removing for the whole weekend. I will totally rock my rompers all over the beach because it’s really an awesome cover-up alternative.

2.) Striped, oversized Tee – Soft Joie really made the best tees this summer. Besides being soft, obviously, the Ila and the Ula also look incredibly sexy thanks to the shape.
Great tee — the perfect twist of sexy and comfy.
3.) One Piece – Okay, I don’t know if this is forever, but for now, I’m not doing a bikini. I actually find the one piece to be a little sexier and a lot more comfortable when chasing a 1 year old on the beach! Always love one piece options from J.Crew and have to say the best suits of the season come from Zinke!

4.) Comfy T’Shirt Dress – T Los Angeles did this great T’Shirt Dress which I bought in every single color. This dress is so versatile! I literally have worn it with converse during the day, as a nightie, and even out for dinner with friends – just threw on a belt and a pair of strappy sandals.
This dress can be worn about 10 different ways — seriously, just pack this, a bathing suit and some great accessories. Good to Go!
5.) Cozy Cardi – Nothing is better than a summer cardi. This option from Free People is perfect for chilly, air conditioned mornings and cool beach nights.
