Prints are just so powerful this season. If you check out my Pinterest Style boards you will find that I am pretty much enamored with flowers, ikat, and stripes. Or you can always just check out Mollie’s Picks this month to see that yes, I want to look like wallpaper! I just think that it is such a fresh and vibrant take on wardrobing. Looking at my closet, it is pretty safe to say that I have been living on pretty solid ground the last few years (no one really wants to be in a print when she’s preggers). Now, this spring, I want to chintz it up a bit with bright peonies and surprising peacock.
Which brings me to my absolute LUST this month. The FABULOUS Peacock Romper from Beautiful Bottoms. I promise you that no one in lingerie does prints better than this UK design team. Let’s be honest, partially because of the nature of lingerie, prints can often come off a little young and a lot unsophisticated. But Beautiful Bottoms, season after season nails bold prints in amazing colors. Add an awesome, slouchy, slightly modern shape and this is sexy done easy and cool. As with all byLangley lingerie, I’m a firm believer that these pieces should not be occasional (i.e. sitting in a drawer until a night away) but totally can be worn around the house. We paired the peacock romper with the satin and lace Cabin Fever Bralet from Zinke and an easy pair of Monrow shorts to wear comfortably around the house. This LUST, my friends, will truly make you feel like you want to spread your own wings!
